I am really excited to be working with friend and collaborator Curt Brown of GreentruC Studio to develop an environmental artwork that celebrates street and parkland trees.
Plane and Simple is formed of three much larger than life metal, palmate shaped leaves that are apparently clad in the ubiquitous camouflage like forms of the hardworking and ubiquitous Plane Tree trunk. The leaves are intertwined and seemingly falling to the ground and create dynamic views into and through their form.
Curt and I are approaching potential hosts and fingers crossed we can get the piece built soon and on tour for Summer 2016. We anticipate that it would sit well in a parkland or community area that is well treed and with a significant population of London Plane trees.
