Churchfield Primary school has a major redevelopment planned on site with several outdated existing buildings being demolished to make way for new, modern and sustainably built premises including. They were looking for a redesign of the substantial surrounding landscape that would reflect the contemporary and sustainable aspirations of the school and modern new build scheme and that would incorporate natural run around space, outdoor learning and food growing areas as well as quiet areas for the children. I decided to create a zoned scheme that would reflect these requirements using a naturalist curling form and incorporating as much habitat as possible.
The scheme has been approved by the school and supervising architects and is currently awaiting planning approval
